We have different cabins this year. She could only reserve 5 of the 2 bedrooms by the trout pond, but won't reserve specific numbers (I'm guessing due to the issue we rose with them giving our cabins away last year). We also have a row of 2 bedrooms not far from the trout pond that are all together. If we need additional cabins reserved, I will do what I can to get some! Also, if you want a one bedroom cabin or a 3 bedroom cabin, I will see what I can do to get that added to our group as well The rates have dropped $10/night this year & our deadline to reserve cabins at the group rate is July 6th.

Some of the schedule is TBA for now. I will update this thread and the website as that information becomes available!

Our Saturday night dinner this year will be a cook out/grill out courtesy of David McCorkle. The menu is still TBD, but items being thrown around are ribs, chicken, burgers and the like. Side items are up for discussion if you have an opinion! David is an amazing BBQer and I'm super excited to have him as our cook this year!

For those of you wondering why a September gathering? NG was moved to July this year. Alan was nice enough to talk to me about it before NG dates were announced. I told him we were flexible and a lot of people have been requesting something a little later in the year! August would have been too close for those traveling far to both gatherings & Labor Day Weekend would be a nightmare on the Dragon/Fontana. So, I hope that these dates don't interfere with you being able to attend. I want all of my BRG family to be there (&more!).

I would also like to give a shout out to Greg/GonzoInc for helping me with the website this year. While it may not look like much has changed, the back end of the website will make the registration process/register packets 100x easier for me! Thanks Greg!!!

**NOTICE** I will ask ALL OF YOU to take your first Dragon run as a cruise. We ALL need to be aware of who is hanging out at what corners (photogs, Leos, bike groups at the scenic overlook, etc), who is ready to stop us, and to take note of any dangers that could be ahead of us. This will be gone over in detail at the drivers meeting.

ha ha this is a good idea, those speeding tickets are expensive up there.

Also the walkie talkies might be a good idea. Since everyone has cell phones we sort of got away from them.

I had mine last year but I think only one or two people had them other than me. If we all had them we might keep somebody from getting in trouble. I'm so looking forward to this. I feel like driving out there just for fun.

BRG registration ENDS TUESDAY, 8/20/13. So it's time to get registered!!

I will let last minute registrations go until 8/31/2013, but it will not include your t-shirt and the registration cost will be $20. If anyone has any questions or concerns or wants to work something out with me to get your registration in before the deadline, PLEASE don't hesitate to PM/email me and we can work something out! In the last 15 yrs. most Fridays are spent watching the rest of the group (ppl) roll in, hanging out, talking, grilling out or grabbing lunch at the cafe' or BBQ joint at the foot of the Dragon. Some ppl do a little tuning, drinking, swimming, drinking, etc... You won't be missing much. See ya at BRG, drive safe...

The past few years has been an organized run on the Cherohala Skyway on Friday of BRG. I have not had much interest in that this year, so I am trying to plan something different.

Yeah, unfortunately the video doesn't do it justice at all. I forgot the microphone attachment for the camera, and just left it on auto rather than trying to deal with specific settings. The video doesn't seem like it, but we were doing around 45-50ish at that time and it all happened in the blink of an eye. In all honesty it's a good thing we weren't traveling in a group, a car or two in front us would've just decimated those bikers. And then we're stuck hiding another body :suspect:
