As the title says im doing a AWD swap and when pressing the clutch in the donor car it was pretty stiff. Would it be worth my time to swap in the Vac assist or just run the N/a master cyl? (sucks if i go that route as i just replaced the darn thing less than 4k ago)
Swap it, but only if the booster actually works properly (I've found some tired ones do almost nothing).

Hmm could i just put the hose from my brake booster on it at idle and test it by hand in the engine bay?

you should just get a little mityvac. You can hook that up, pump up a vacuum in it and see if it holds the vacuum. It is good if it does.
