Anyone following the conspiracy theorist frenzy over the recent school shooting...?

Seems to me about 90% basement dwelling, tinfoil hat wearing freakshows.... But the other 10% has to make you wonder. Definitely some unanswered questions and weirdness.

I have my own theories that can be summed up with three (opinionated) statements:

-There is a lot of information not being released to the public.

-In the absence of fact, conjecture rules.

-Our mainstream media is comprised primarily of incompetent, over-competitive, soulless scum, that will do absolutely anything to get a scoop. Including but not limited to, reporting shit they know damn well is nothing but conjecture and rumor. I would not put it past them to stage interviews. I put the news in about the same light as reality TV shows...

The following link should pop up most of the big players in the tinfoil hat crowd... If nothing else, it is entertaining...

Any admited CT's here...? Thoughts?

Very true... And along with recognizing that fact, I also recognize that people are going to be angry that it happened, and want to do something about it, or want something to be done...

No one can change what happened after the fact., It's only natural to want to know what happened, why it happened, and what can be done to prevent it from happening again. That it one of the things that fuels the media and gives them a consumer base to gobble up their tabloid bullshit... Personally I would prefer to know nothing than be constantly inundated with irrelevant and inaccurate crap...

do i think the goverment had their hand in this to orchestrate a bigger plot to disarm the country yes .

Clarify... Are you saying you are in the camp that believes the Government had a hand in creating this? Or are you saying you believe they jumped on the opportunity to spin it to their advantage?

I would refrain from posting things like those links suggesting that this was some kind of an act by those who lost family. I didn't know any victims first hand but living and working within 30 minutes of there you can imagine the degrees of separation aren't many in my case. I would like to see more details released though to silence such bullshit.

Something is off lately though - there have been way too many shootings including the one today in Webster, NY. Another one that hits pretty close to home, and I can't say I'm feeling safe.

I'm not Sure if the gov is making these shootings happen or not seems like It's convenient to have all these happen staggered across the country to force an anti gun agenda especially with the UN ANTI Gun proposals etc trying to get pushed through .

Or... There are more shootings on the news because that is what people are talking about right now. Sort of how all the zombie themed stories a while back after that one hobo ate that other hobos face. News stations want people to watch them. If gun control is a hot topic and there is an insane tragedy involving people getting shot that everyone is talking about... rest assured that the news is going to take advantage of that and find similar stories until people lose interest with it and the next crazy thing happens.

Interesting twist on the whole thing today... LiveLeak.com - CT Police Will Prosecute Anyone Spreading Info Not Given By CT Police (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a1b_1356073569)

I wonder if they'll include the media in that as well... I'd hate to think a press card would give you a free pass...

Here is further clarification from the District Attorney's Office:

"Anyone who harasses or threatens the victims, the victims' families or witnesses of these horrific crimes or who in any manner interferes with the ongoing state or federal investigations will be referred for state and or federal prosecution to the fullest extent permitted by law. It's from the Today Show, so I would assume it was pretty early this morning... I'm sure that knocked the wind out of their sails. We may hear crickets chirping for a little while.

OK... So I guess that video IS old news. That was the story before the coroner made his statement that all the deaths were from the rifle.

Another very large car forum I've been reading has at least five members that I've read, claim in multiple separate threads, that the AR was pulled out of the car in broad daylight by a sheriff deputy. and what they saw was not the video of an ATF agent pulling a shotgun out of a car in the dark... So where is this footage? I'd love to see it....

Sigh... Maybe the tinfoil hat is so your brain doesn't hurt....

let's just dispense with conspiracy. let's use 9-11 as a historical case with 3 very important lessons.

1. conspiracy nuts are just plain nuts. our government is just incompetent. hanlon's razor is very applicable here. anyone who pays attention to how government spending and contracting "goes down" can't possibly find conspiracy therein. even before we hand out loads of facts (like stuff about the melting point of steel, etc) we should be able to easily discern that conspiracy theories are just bunk. i WISH our government was competent enough, but that's impossible. and in this age of social media, i can't fathom how word wouldn't get out.

2. our government is full of OPPORTUNISTS. 9-11 brought the patriot-act & all of it's desecration of the 4th amendment. they are going to attempt to do the same thing with sandy hook, regarding the 2nd amendment.

3. because of #1 & #2, it behooves us to bear in mind that the "conspiracy" (if you can call it that) is not a causal one, but an opportunistic one. the ultimate goal is to eliminate all constitutional rights in order to subvert the population to the whims of the individuals in power. this goal has actually been the goal of every government ever to exist--or at least what those governments have devolved into. by focusing on immediate misfortune rather than the time-honored, established precedents set forth by our forefathers (who KNEW BETTER THAN US), we start discarding our essential freedoms for temporary security--precisely as franklin warned us not to do.

A good read

Does anyone have a source saying the AR wasn't used at Sandy Hook? - Page 16 - Yellow Bullet Forums (http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?p=10448479)

Love post 229 .... Let’s face it. Obama won the election. Just like Putin and Ahmadinejad did theirs.
