...of some sort, for threads earmarked out of one section and into another, in this instance as in when a thread is on it's way to politics, which thread IPD has been participating heavily (and productively) in, but which he can no longer access because of his banishment from 'Politics"?

I feel he should be able to follow-through in this instance.

So you want a section for threads that were posted in the wrong place, so that people that can't use the section the thread should have been in in the first place can use them?

Some threads wander. At first, they are harmless, then... Butthurt occurs...

True, but some start that way. Like the one in question.

A wondering thread will probably stay where it is.

A thread misposted from the 1st is getting moved to where it should have been.

if you could keep them contained to that section you'd be fine. You tend to let things "spill over" ;)

i certainly do try to keep ad hominem attacks out of it. i have failed several times on this forum already. in retrospect, since i use this forum for catharsis (and not facebook, drinking buddies, etc) it's probably good that i've chosen a relatively "harmless" area to vent in. much better than kicking the dog, swearing at my college professors, insulting my commander, etc.

I'm a little confused... Don't we have a Politics section so as to have a place to freely express opinion without fear that someone is going to get butthurt?

After all, The Todd can accuse others of child molestation without fear of reprisal... Or has, anyway...

What did Thadd do to bring on such butthurt?

Thadd has as a problem with spill over. Feelings from that section were effecting his posting in other sections of the forum. Its cut him off completely or cut him off from politics.
