So
I put a stage 3+ spec clutch in my 92 NA; and its working great. But I immediately noticed that the tranny had developed that notchy engagement, it is clearly audible; not a clean snick sound.

I placed a 3sx ball bearing shifter in last night; and only got it to work slightly better by tightening down the solid bushings in the mount after allowing them to float and shifting through the pattern several times.

I called 3sx, they said "adjust the turn buckles"...a less than stellar answer. Can anyone point me to a procedure or tell me what I need to do to improve the smoothness of shifting the tranny through the pattern, its truly notchy and a little frustrating for a 20 yr old car, and a $800 fix.:(

I might point out that the only issue we ever had was the loss of the original manual 5 speed tranny in 98 or 99; it was replaced with a brand new Mitz transmission.

check your clutch pedal adjustment and make sure it is properly adjusted

Tranny was installed at Rusty Wallace Cadillac/Kia by a mechanic who has wrenched on his own Stealth for years, I was going to ask them to check this; but wondered if anyone has adjusted the cables, since over time cables can stretch...just like on a bike (pedal type).

if you put the new clutch in and it started doing this then the clutch is dragging. I would bleed the clutch a few more times and test to see if it is dragging.
