How many people here home brew?
I just started my first batch. It is 5 gal of an American Style Hefeweizen.
Should go well.
I currently have 2 5gal glass carboys, 7 gal fermenting bucket.

I can't wait to start my own when I get back. I already have a list of beer names to go with the styles I plan on making :)

If you drink 50 bottles of beer a night, you have a problem and need to go to an AA meeting.

I do a lot of home brewing, usually have 5-6 (5) gallon batches going at a time. Kinda make a wine hybrid, but brew it up to about 20% or higher if the yeast can make it. Cheaper than buying wines and you can play around with any flavors you can think of. Definitely, worthwhile and a little fun to making your own wines. I have not tried to make beer yet.

I've done it before but it's been a while. I have a bunch of stuff and bought some more equipment recently to make another batch but just can't seem to find the time to get at it again. The last stuff was very strong. Really want to get back at it, I have coke kegs to avoid bottling next time.

Well, our local store ran out of bottles and wont be making a order for a week or so :(
So I only have 24 bottles. Time to drink some beers and save another 26.

Too bad you don't live closer, I'd help you out lol
You should start doing the keg thing. Bottling is more of a hassle.

We were going to keg, but we wanted to get some brewing under our belt before we spent the few hundred for a nice keg / kegerator

Looks great Paul. Once we move into the new house and get a few more batches under our belt, we are going to get some kegs. Hopefully have a nice setup in our man cave once we get settled in.

I'm kicking in my brewing into high gear. I might do a batch tonight but I'm afraid I'll be wasting time because the kit I have is about a year and a half old. I've been told you can use them up to a year. I cleaned and sanitized the corney/coke keg and broke out the old brewing stuff. I don't know if I want to waste time with this kit and stuff or wait and buy my friends brewing stuff.
You know it :gaybrella::gaytard:

yeast is probably dead...even if its kept in a fridge it usually wont last more than 10-12 months

I sampled my brew to about 5 people tonight. They all loved it, which is good (even tho they wouldn't talk shit about it to my face lol). Next batch should be much better and more flavor full, I will be making the White House Honey Ale next.
