I don't mean to thread jack you here, but the same shit is going on in British Columbia right now. They want all modified and right hand drive cars off the road by 2012... I will litterally be left without a vehicle then. It's already started too, some of the Japan importers have begun to sell off their inventory and are planning to close their doors.

Canadian lawmakers are trying to make it harder to import cars as well. I read an article last week that said they were going to make it 25 years before a car could be imported.

What cars does Canada produce? That's craaaazy. I read a similar yet more refined article in last month's Super Chevy magazine. Good read. There was one in there about a car being able to be towed off of a PROPERTY if it sits in an inoperable state for more than six hours. Lol it takes me that long just to find my y pipe Some of those things are just fun to read but in all seriousness, how could it ever get passed?

Pfft. I live in WV. Not only no emissions, but I was at the gas station a few days ago and a guy pulled in to get gas. On his ATV. And went right back out on the highway.

I doubt that law would ever see the light of day, nor be enforced if it did, unless it's voluntary car killing, like O's "Cash for Clunkers" travesty.

This isn't nearly as bad as being able to vote without an ID, in Arizona no less.

I'm in new mexico. They always try to bring up the "only oe exhaust system" thing. Thank God all these dumbass cops never see 3/s I've told three that my tanabe exhaust system is what came on the car and they believe me. We don't have emission checks in my town (yet knock on wood) so I'm happy for now. They even have a loop whole in their tint law saying a car thats older then 96 I think cant be pulled over for tint.... 1% all the way around anyone
