    Craaaap...why are these injectors different?

Hey guys, the injector on the right just came back from RC Engineering and the one on the left (in addition to four others) were redone by Mas on 3si. Why does the RCE one have that chinger in the top port and the others do not? Will this be an issue? I was just about to toss these in tonight

    Ah, and they are 550's.

It looks like the one from RC still has an inlet screen, and the others have had it removed...

AHAH! I got a flashlight all up in there and compared the two injectors. It does appear to be a screen. So, that being said, how will it effect me if I have it on one and not the others? Better yet, is it necessary to have them on injectors?

I'd either get that screen replaced or remove them all. It will make the injector flow slightly better, but of course if you get some really dirty fuel the injectors can clog easier.

Some people do remove them to flow a bit better. Me personally I'd get it replaced instead.

I would NEVER run an injector without the inlet screen fitted, any debris that would otherwise get caught in the screen will just get fed straight through the injector. You could argue that the fuel filter would make these screens redundant, but anything can happen while working on the fuel system, plus if a bit of filter media becomes detached it won`t do the injector any favours..

    Yeah get the screens!

I had an issue a while back where I Stealth I bought had a rusted fuel tank and even though I replaced the fuel filter with an OEM one, the garbage still got past it and clogged the injectors to the point it would not even start. The screens are what saved me from having to get new injectors.

    Check it out on Youtube!!

Alright. Just got a hold of Mas and he told me they all have screens, but the ones they use do not sit flush like the ones from RC.

Replace the one from RC so they all match.
