map sensor, All that necessary ?

I have a (95)hybrid ECU in my 96 VR4 . I have polished plenum from JDM 96 vr4 and that doesnt have the hole on top of the plenum for the map sensor my question is do I really need that sensor anyway since I dont even have the EGR system anymore ?


Any help is greatly appreciated .

No EGR means no need for a MAP sensor. The MAP sensor monitors changes in manifold pressure during EGR events. If EGR's not there, the MAP sensor is unneccesary.

That is what I was thinking too but couldnt find wiring diaghram for map sensor to verify it
