    Thumbs down Excedy OEM Clutch

    Excedy OEM Clutch

Was just reading your post Mike on the clutch, and i'm getting pretty pissed off right now
This whole upgrade is because of the clutch to start...it cost me $1200 plus massive labor....paid my recipt for an Excedy...then I was told about my shaft/TC issues and the cooling ect...but awsome clutches are available for half the price in the states
Sure i've also been reading ppl going back to OEM but after reading your issues, i've just wasted a heap of cash and i'm going to fry this thing.

I delt with mine slipping for about 2 years now, i was really hoping I could let loose for a while grrrr

hmmm, upgrade to a exedy heavy duty cushion button dude, not too expensive but hella strong. I've got some reasonable mods, little under 300awkw and pound on my clutch almost daily without a problem

Well yea, when i was quoted, it was $1200 for norm, $2200 for medium and $2800 for Heavy, i was a little blown away and went for the cheaper option. Problem is the work has been done and paid for....
Gladly, i'll get something alot better in say 12 months (I hope).

Lesson #1 He who owns said GTO (espesially in AUS) must get bits and research his own shit to not get massivly ripped off, and have the wrong stuff done, even if your not a mechanic, you soon will be lol :P
