You still kicked out a perfectly good stripper by all accounts.
I admitted I ran like shit this year. not to mention the dude that designed the track said it was designed specficaly so I wouldn't win. couple that with my busted steering rack and my alingment being out of wack. but I'm not gonna make excuses. it was my fault my car wasn't up to par before NG. my clutch dropped a duce a week b4 NG and it was all that I could do to get it ready to drive in time. besides, given what happened the 1st time I don't see the point to gut my car, by R-comps and spend $10K on a suspension when I can be competitive without it
maybe someone will raffle some coilovers next year
And you took our comments seriosly?
We try to design the tracks to be equalizers so that within a given class your run times have more to do with your skill and less to do with your mods. So we try to limit straight line running at wot and force you carry speed elsewhere in the course. Unfortunately this approach is limited in its ability, and can even lends itself to working in a 13g turbo car's favor. However this years course was a lot harder on suspension than NG09's was, which does explain some of the large differences in the modified suspension run times verus stock suspension times.
One thing I have noticed with consistentcy at both NG08 and NG10 is that R-compound tires tend to tilt the scales for their users. I would be willing to bet that Eric Bowden would have more than made up the time difference between him and Terry if he had run some.
So if you want to make a bunch of people mad just bring a spare set of rims with slicks on them and you will put down comparitively crazy times on stock suspension.

I think we need to hear from Eric Now
You do see a big gap between the r-compound guys and the rest of the modified suspension group, 2 full seconds.
