Question Kids - do you plan on having them

Why? What are your reasons? Love the little tackers? You want your family name to live on past you? You dont like sex? I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

Obviously not everyone wants kids and not everyone plans to have them. I'm keen to hear from those who are planning or want kids.

I'm way too young to really know how I really feel on that topic, but as it stands right now, I feel like I could go without.

Met a guy I really loved, got married. Seemed like the next logical thing to do. We have two. 15 months apart. Love them with every ounce of my soul, but I am never having any more.

Not planning on having any. My fiancee isn't so sure, she's still being open minded and considering maybe one. I'm crossing my fingers that the 23 kids she has in her class room every day will be work enough that she wont want to have another kid when she gets home. But..then again. I do love kids, I've worked in several daycares throughout the years, I just don't want them. Why? Partially because I'm greedy and kids are expensive. Partially because I think there's enough kids in the world that don't have loving parents to take care of them so if I were to have kids I'd prefer adopting because I think it's more socially responsible.

On the other hand I wish children on all of my friends so that I can be the cool uncle guy that gets to spoil them and take them on cool trips, but then give them back at the end of the day and not have to pay for college or any other such things.
I'm lame and this is my lame signature.

No children for me. Never wanted any. My mom and dad both come from large families and I am the only child out of 7 who doesn't/won't have any. No desire, no need, no want. Most kids are ok, but after a short time......they need to go home.
You planning, Scotty? Doesn't your gf/wife have one already? I thought I read that. Sorry if I am wrong.

Lauren has two already. She would love a little girl and so would I. Problem is, if we produce a boy, I'm afraid I'll get beaten and junior will be stuffed right the hell back in! lol She is still married to captain shit for brains on paper. Once we have saved some money and life is a little more stable (as far as work goes) I'll propose. THEN we can talk kids - err a baby girl.

I'm not anywhere close to getting married or having kids, but I want them when I'm ready. I really don't understand the hate of having kids. That's basically all you need to do, reproduce.

I have two and I can't imagine what life would have been without them.
With the first out of college and gainfully working and the second almost done the wife and I now have to figure out what to do with the rest of our lives. It's been almost 24 years since it was just the two of us.
