It's not that hard when you weigh as much as a paper clip.
Definitely the ridiculously low weight. 400hp and 2k pounds is around 10 flat, then you need 600hp if 3k lbs and 800hp if 4k lbs to run 10 flat. Weight is huge. He is under 2k probably. If he weighs say 1800lbs he only needs about 170whp to run 12.7.
**these are just quick calculations using a generic 1/4 mile calc just to show that if you are very light you dont need much hp to run a 12.7 and go 106mph
92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Auto = 10.61@127.8 (1.4 60ft)
94 3000gt SL 8:1TT 5spd getrag = 11.87@123 (1.8 60ft)
91 3000gt VR4 13gs = 11.61@115 (1.59 60ft)
Civics can be made quick cheaply. Buy one for next to nothing. Do some power mods on a nonpowerful motor, and then (this is the best part) rip everything off that pop can to make it weigh as little as possible. Boom! You have a high 12 second car that looks atrocious, sounds like a beehive over a megaphone, and is practically undrivable on the street all for $2000.
Power to weight. The have gone A LOT faster NA...

It`s funny you know, when I go drag racing the whole pit area talk to each other, have a laugh and enjoy ourselves regardless of what car we race. That makes it the most fun for me.
Why can`t people just be happy for the bloke and the time he`s achieved?. Plenty of VR4`s around that can`t scrape a 12 second run from what I`ve seen..
