I test drove one with the intention of buying it to autocross. or perhaps doing the spec miata series. I think they are neat little cars

Had a 91 a few years back. That was one of the coolest cars i've owned.

DJ took me for a ride in a supercharged one a few weeks ago.
Fun ride. I've been toying with the idea of getting one for autox.
He says you can beat them to death and they don't break.

They are non interference so they pretty much are unbreakable besides bearing failure or something like that

    Sorry guys, just had to

Lol. Hey I have been beat by plenty of Miatas at the race track. They are neat, I drove a 99 (99's had a LSD) and it was pretty fun, I just couldnt believe how short the gears were.... you could start off in 3rd gear from a stop no problem. 1st gear was like 25 mph, I never seen such short gears in a car.

i would like to get one, they are so small, it seems like it would be really fun to just toss around and beat on.

used to have an s2000 and really loved it so my expectations on the miata were a bit high.

driven a couple miatas since and i was highly dissapointed. honestly felt they were slow, sloppy, and cramped in comparison.

    ive driven a 90, 91, and 99

If I fit in one, I'd love to drive one... I can't even fit in a new hardtop Miata, the older ones I sorta fit, but it's way too tight.
