    Regional forums confuse me

OK, I get the whole "group" think for the regional forum area... I still find it very difficult to navigate. Am I the only dumbass having a hard time with it?

I'm not flaming the 3sgto staff/owner, I appreciate this board. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having issues navigating the regional groups. Would having regular sub-forums be simpler? Am I being a ninny?

click on event/regional button. that is the subforum... nobody uses the community/groups option and there is a request to remove it.

ahh, that explains it then. Thanks. Will there be more regional break-outs than just the few there? Or maybe Sub-forums? e.g. a "DelMarVA" group under the northeast forum

There will eventually be more regional forums once the groups disappear. The groups are nice and all, but they pretty much suck for discussions.

In my opinion there isn't a very strong reason to keep the highly fragmented break-out groups that we had on 3si. Since these areas are already fairly low-traffic, it really isn't that cumbersome to see a few extra threads. Additionally, it should encourage you to meet other members that live fairly close to you.

Once I have the vb 4.0.8 version loaded I'll be looking at the "groups". Once I seen what if any changes have been added we can see what if any changes need to be made.

Very good point. Were all the regions pretty inactive? The DelMarVA one had some activity, but I definitely didn't feel I needed to check it but once every few days. It was very useful for things like "shops in the area", or 3/s spottings. Some sticky threads should take care of that, I'd imagine.

The 3SPA one was great for planning our own meets and such. I certainly wouldn't want to clutter up a regional board with it, unless Alan adds tags (like suspension, brakes, etc) for each state's group.
