    WTB: 2nd Gen 3000GT VR4

I'm looking to find a clean second gen VR4 after my bike sells. I prefer the styling of the second gens but a 93 could possibly work too because my main goal is a forged crank. Looking for something that is pretty clean and up to date with maintenance. Also, I'd like to stay around the $7,000 price range if possible. LMK what you have.

    Edit: Bike is sold...ready for a VR4

I have a forged crank 92 vr4 in silver. Brand new paint job, newer tires, new 60k service (timing belt, water pump, tensioner, pulleys, spark plugs, and fuel filter), new rear engine mount, new driver side engine mount, new front engine mount, new clutch, and new output shaft. Charcoal grey leather interior.

Some quick pics we took the other day.

Price is $7500 firm. Mileage is 138k miles.

Well as of right now, I've got a local 94 VR4 with about 80k miles I can probably get for 7K. I'm just trying to find some options. Who did the rebuild on that 92 and why?

The bottom end was done before I got the car. It looks like it was a new factory short block. I have a stack of receipts from stuff done by the previous owner. The guy spent some serious coin on the car. It also has a brand new factory ecu in it.

Here's a copy and paste I sent to someone else regarding this car

It has a brand new 60k service since we are unsure when/if it was done, new spark plugs, all new filters and fluids, and a new (factory replacement with the caps that don't leak) ECU. It is 100% stock aside from aftermarket wheels and a K&N intake.

    Recent work done:
transfercase completely replaced under recall in 2003
oil cooler lines replaced in 2003
new airbag sensors installed (stated srs light did not come on, so they replaced the sensors) in 2004
    carrier bearings in 2003
front motor mount replaced in 2003
new fuel pump assembly with fuel pump in 2003

At some point, it did also have a brand new OEM shortblock installed, because it has a forged crankshaft (not originally available until 93).

It also has a brand new clutch... if I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

there are a ton of receipts here with a lot of little stuff as well, those are just the big ones that jumped out at me.
Circa 2005... Oh my, how far I've come

If appearance is your concern you can always convert it. Nothing beats a forged crank vr4 with a 1G ECU and a 5 speed transmission.

I know....I really like the 2nd gen appearance but the strength of the 5 speed and forged crank is a great combo and obviously why Ray has always favored the 93's. I just want to drive it and be happy instead of sticking more money into it to convert it. I would probably feel different if I wasn't in college atm. I will definitely consider it.

Our silver one really is a car that won't need anything done... as everything has already JUST been done. Let us know... I have a guy looking into getting a loan for the car... but loans are touch-and-go right now, so, I'm not really holding my breath.
