    My N/A is fast. :)

Driving my car after the rebuild has been wonderful. 450 miles on her and I took it out tonight and opened it up a bit. It throws me back in the seat very well, MUCH more than I expected. I still need to fix the intake leak and exhaust leak. Now do these come standard with aluminum pistons? They came with the rebuild kit but I never compared them to the old ones. Maybe thats why it feels so much faster or maybe its because I don't have leaky seats anymore?

They are stock cast aluminum pistons. You are probably just feeling a healthy engine. Congrats and enjoy.

Can't wait until I get a shift kit and a single turbo, I can't imagine how fast it will be then.... So close to spending all my Christmas and engagement ring savings on them hmm... girlfriend or boost. ugh.

Boost wont come cheap or without headache. Marry your girl, make your car a project and then go for it. Just my opinion of course.

I think I can do a single turbo build for around 2 grand that will put out up to 600 fwhp using used parts. I guess I can wait another year.

Sounds good but I would like to see your plan for getting 600 FWHP for 2k. Dont forget you engine isnt really capable of producing that kind of power in its stock form, not trying to dis it at all. On top of that you will need fuel control which can get expensive. You would need bigger injectors, a fuel controler, a much better than stock pump (Maybe a single walbro but not sure) and you would like likely need a meth injection kit. If you have a plan plan to do this for 2k please share it. I am not trying to call you out at all just curious as to how you would do it.

Single turbo would cost more than a TT conversion. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. You can buy stock TT parts and make your car a TT for far cheaper and more reliably than any single turbo set up.

I was thinking this plus a good used AEM standalone, wideband, 450cc injectors and go pull some side mounts off a talon at the local junk yard plus other odds and ends should come out to be about $2,000. But I think a HX50 is only gonna bring me to about 400whp which is good for 2grand. I exaggerated a bit on the 600hp after adding it all up I thought maybe I could afford a better turbo.

If you can pull it off I am with ya 100%. I love junk yard builds man, thats the way to do it IMO but you still need to make sure its a safe build and wont just detonate and blow.
