    Escort Redline Radar Detector

Thinking about getting one of these for the range it has in open areas such as interstate driving. Anyone running this and what is your opinion of it? Most of the reviews and information I've dug up on forums has been positive.

How does the valentine one compare to the redline? Both are good units from what I hear, but kinda listening to what some of the truckers use the redline has somewhat longer range and response.

I honestly don't have much experience with either. I just know that in the end, the V1 does the job pretty damn well.

Been looking to upgrade mine. I have a Cobra and it has done surprisingly well thus far. Paid itself off and then-some.

Get a 15 Channel at least. Cobra's are $80 on Amazon IIRC

Depends on the model. Lower end Cobras (they are lower end to begin with) aren't worth the time.

It was a toss up between the Valentine and Redline. Leaning towards the Redline because it is spectre immune which I'll need in places like Virginia and D.C. Cobra brand radar detectors were not even a consideration, since even their top line model rates lowly when field tested.

And I was going to post ib4 arrows. Didn't even make it past the first post and there it is, lol.

Escort/Passport are awesome. Last trip I took out of town, I forgot to transfer my Escort 8500i over to the car I was driving. So, I stopped and bought the top of the line Cobra, planning to maybe throw it in my wifes truck afterwards. Not even freaking close. Range was absolutely terrible. I took it back.

I love my Escort, even though it's about 10 years old now, it has performed flawlessly. My Dad has one that's well over 20 years old and still works real well. Half the led's are screwed up, but it still works!

    Jeremy
