    o2 sim question

I have installed my O2 sim and have it working, but I have a question. There is one pin on the o2 sensor wiring that is left untouched.

    It is the heater ground

    My question:

I installed the sim without the o2 sensors (because I didn't have them). I cut the stock connectors off and wired the sim up... but I LEFT the heater grounds connected to nothing (instead of it being connected if the o2 sensors were still attached). Is this going to throw the functionality off? I'm not sure where the heater grounds even go to. They showed no continuity to ground when I tested with my DMM, so I don't even think they're a ground at all. Someone please verify?

would like an answer to this question. The O2 heater code showed up The only thing I can think of here is that the O2 heater ground wire isn't connected to anything. Should this be grounded?

Did you get it from http://www.o2simulator.com/ ? I think they tell you within the site what your options are.

It doesn't matter. I grounded the heater wires just now and it didn't do anything. I'm so fucking sick of this OBDII shit.

I`d put a resistor between the heater +12v and heater ground wires, you need to find the resistance of the stock O2 heater coil and copy that with the resistor..

Alright, this is what I wanted:

    11. If you want to eliminate secondary o2sensor completely, you have to use our heater resistor (20 Ohm, 20 Watt) to simulate o2sensor heater element and avoid the P0141 (faulty o2 heater error code). Hook up heater resistor between 2 heater wires (usually same color): +12V and heater ground. One heater resistor for each o2sensor. Please be aware: Heater resistor will get hot, too hot to touch. Mount heater resistor in a location that keeps anything flammable or melt-able from touching it.
I will try this and see how it works.

I will keep my fingers crossed... that's two of four CELs I can cross off my list if all goes well.
