Looks like my motor took a dump while I was at the car wash. Now the seat is stuck almost all the way forward and is impossible for me to drive now. Is there some sort of manual release so I can get it to go back?

Your 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL is one of 4310 that received VIN numbers. Based on the order of the serial numbers, your car was the 2685th out of the 4310 that were made that year.
No one has any ideas on this?
I had never thought of that being an issue. That really sucks! I don't know of anything but I would sure love to hear an answer. The only thing I can thing of is taking apart everything.
you are gonna have to take it out and when you do ,you can turn the rod (that moves the seat back and forth) turn it until you feel like it is back into your normal position and then hook it back up.Hopefully,it is jammed because it is in the upmost forward position and when you move it back ,that might just free up the rod enough to where the motor will turn it.if not, hopefully you have turned it enough to where you can drive it until it gets repaired.
You cant remove the seat unless you can move it. Have you checked fuses to make sure none are blown? Make sure you are getting power to the seat itself.

Thanks for all the info, i had my girl friend drive it home. The next morning the seat moved after some more fiddling. So i am lucky there. Discontented it though to prevent this from happening again.
had the same crap happen to me work one day and not another and it ended up being the switch which ended up being 150 bucks.

ive seen a bunch over the years that had the wire harness get snagged in the seat track and then short out the fuse.
to remedy this one must remove the wire from the track by means of a long screw driver and then replace the fuse to move the seat. Then you can remove the seat and re-secure the wire
