How much does your health/dental insurance cost you?

I'm just curious to see how much this varies from region to region...

I'm paying $3007.56/year for BlueCross-BlueShield for my wife and I... So $1503.78 per person.

Same insurance here, wife gets it through her job. I think it's about $170 bi-monthly, or approximately $4,080 annual. But, her job also gives an earned premium credit, so to speak, of $1,000 per year to turn in scripts and co-pays against. We end up paying nothing out of pocket.

About the same here Jeremy .. BCBS but thru COBRA .. just a tad over $4000 a year for the two of us.
But, were it not for Mr Obama's initiative and subsidy ... that bill would be upwards of $958 per month, or a whoppin $11,500 a year.

Wife just got home from work. I underestimated. It is $180 bi-monthly. Health/Dental/Vision. BCBS with Vested Health(the $1,000 that goes towards our deductible). So, it's more like $4,320 annual, but I feel the Vested Health is a benefit, so that puts me at an adjusted rate of $3,320 annual.

no BS i pay 757/year. For med, den, and vision. Its just for me. no fam plan. I work full time.

Yeah, the jump from single to family is nasty. If my wife had just herself it's like $80 a month... What pisses me off, is her family plan is you and your spouse...and you can have 14 million kids on top of that, same rate. We have no kids, but pay the same rate as someone who has unlimited rugrats.

I cut my plan pretty harsh for the coming calendar year. Not sure what my final cost will be yet as there's some discounts that haven't been applied yet, but it looks like it's be about $1,100/yr for medical/dental/vision for just me. Adding a spouse would over double that (Would love to see the math on that one), then it gets even higher if I want to add kids. 5 years ago I worked at a place where I didn't pay a dime for insurance. Now I can count it in the thousands of dollars for something that I rarely use, but am too afraid to drop due to medical costs in that one case that I might need it.
