i wish i had the equipment and skill i would love to have a go at this..

this is a 1/5 scale working Rolls-Royce Merlin engine by Barry Hares.

Rolls-Royce Eagle H engine 24 cyl, another of Barry Hares.

i dont think the makers have completely figured out the whole way to get power out of these mini motors. although the engineering is amazing they do not have the power the single cylinder IC motors have. i know the mini merlin doesn't have the power aparently to pull a 1/5th scale spitfire off the floor even though it is supercharged.

I was just reading the site for the guy with the supercharged V8 yesterday. Let me dig it out of my history when I get home and post it up.

These things are amazing. Would love to have a kit to build, or a CNC in my garage to make my own.

I managed to score a CNC Vertical Knee Mill for a fab shop I ran once upon a time.
Shop hands were terrified of it as it had a keyboard and crt screen.
    If I had a spare 25K ... and 240/3∅

Would be a cool hobby. Would take me years to make one from scratch, and thats with no guarantee of it running.
