What's the deal with Permatex " Right Stuff"?

...and its cost?? Every time I buy this stuff it gets more expensive. It has literally doubled in price in about 2 years. I'm kind of tired of it. Any one have any good equivalents? I paid over $20 for it at Napa today, man.

yeah, motorcycle OEMs make (or spec) some really good stuff, and it is expensive...

Yeah thats one of the spots that requires it. I also have noticed the price increase. Used to be cheap. Spray paint has gone out of control as well.

I've never used Right Stuff. The regular grey Permatex works just fine. I used it to seal my transmission when I had it apart and it doesn't leak a drop.
