Physically it is in great shape with very little wear marks on it. (It was my wife's but I bought her a new laptop this summer)
The only thing wrong with the unit is sometimes it does not want to charge. If you move the plug it will work but sometimes is a pain. I would say it would probably be best for someone leaving it on a desk the majority of the time as moving it around will stop it from charging again.

I just did a fresh OS wipe and put a copy of office 2007 on it, and let my mom borrow it for a couple weeks and she put some games on it. But other than that it is ready to be put into use!

The bottom has the most wear. My mom still has the battery but is supposed to ship it to me asap. But the computer did power up with just the ac adapter after moving it.
