    Windshield fogging

I feel kinda dumb asking this, but it's getting to the weather where my windshield is fogging pretty bad in the cold mornings. If I need to get going right away, I'd normally just turn on the wipers for the fog on the outside, and use the sleeve of my sweatshirt to wipe off the inside. This hasn't been working the past couple of mornings. It remains foggy and won't come off even when I wipe off both sides of the glass. What is this? Why is it not coming off? It eventually goes away after the car is warmed up and I used the defrost but it's annoying to have to wait that extra time in the mornings.

I've been plagued w/ the fog as well. I've read that a certain material on the dash emits something in direct sunlight, clinging to the window, which causes this foggy appearance. It should help quite a bit if you windex your window on the inside every so often to get rid of it. Let me know what happens, I've never tried, I usually hang my head out the window like a retard going to Disneyland, or just wait on it to defrost.

Are you sure the heater core isnt leaking, notice a sweet smell, carpet damp ?

Edit nvm just saw the last line about it going away when warm. RainX makes anti fog stuff you wipe on.

I don't see how anti-fog stuff is going to help if it's not fog on the outside of the glass. I wash/rainX the inside and out pretty often.

Mine often gets a dirty grime sort of fog on the inside after sitting in the sun. Needs to be wiped of with a cloth. What the hell is this? I thought perhas there was a leak somewhere from the heater but there is no fluids leaking inside and no heating issues. Plus I haven't used my heater since I lived in Melbourne 18 months ago.

Also make sure you have your ventilation settings to fresh air not recirculate.
Ahhh, One last fix. And it would literally be perfect for ......prolly a week BUT! thats still a week of perfection.
