![]() My 3/S addiction started when I was in high school. I saw a blue 1991 3000GT SL on a local streetlight corner for sale about the time I was getting my learners permit. Not really knowing too much about these; I was into the whole F&F thing - Supras, eclipses, etc - but the 3000GT was new to me. I begged my parents for it and it turned out to be a family friend selling it, so i got it. That's when it started.. These cars turn you into a mechanic quickly, but I was always good with my hands. I joined the 3/S forums in 2008 and found out about the VR4. I knew I had to have one one day. Not planning on getting one soon, I had acquired a spare block and was planning a build for my SL... but only after a few months I found my baby, this 1994 3000GT VR4. It was everything I wanted - Pearl white, Removable roof, and a blank drawing board. I brought this car back from the dead at age 17 (2009) in a thread that I probably can't link here :/. The engine ran for a while and had no abnormal noises. I went through a few upgrades and after i blew my stock rear turbo, I built a Holset HX50 single turbo kit with 350z manifolds in 2010 (in a thread i cant link here) then traded for some bigger compressor housing 19t's that i didn't get to max out but drove on those for a while. Which leads up to last year. I pulled the trans to beef it up, removed my oil pan, and found out I goofed up when i first built the engine. I've been collecting quailty parts for a big build since 9-14-12.
