Really? maybe the pictures just make it look lower than it is. I was a little curious about ground clearance myself, so I took some measurements. The lip sits exactly 2 inches lower at the front of the bumper, and about 1/8 of an inch lower at the rear corners (If you look at a 1g bumper from the side, the bottom angles upwards. This lip makes the bottom flat.)
That left me with 4.5" of ground clearance. My VR4 has tein springs and small wheels, so it's pretty low to begin with. I should also add that the lip will be made out of a semi-rigid urethane that the rep described as "indestructible," so don't worry about speed bumps. I plan on testing the first lip by throwing it off my second story roof.

On to progress pictures... please keep in mind, this is a plug for a mold, so it has already been flanged. That means the edges are extra tall so I can trim down the finished product.

Come on guys, give me a little feedback. I know it looks rough now but try to imagine it smooth and painted with the vents cut out.

Can you get a pic from the side? and maybe bend down a little instead of standing for the pic? From what I can tell so far...I'm in! Pretty much exactly what I suggested you build

What's the ETA and ball-park cost? (Imagine how good that will look on my car with a fmic and the stock fogs)

it's hard for me to imagine..

is the top half of your car missing? or is that just a front clip?

i'm not so interested in lips, but i think it looks pretty cool.

send me one, and i'll really give you some feedback. not only will i throw it off the roof, but i'll take my favorite corners at 60ish.

anymore headway on the splitter? will the splitter fit without the lip?

To be honest I haven't had a chance to work on it. I've been focusing on finishing the projector flip ups and preparing for the NG. I started the lip because I was waiting on parts for the headlights; once they are finished I'll turn my attention back on the lip. I know, sorry.
