Best non MHI 16g turbo? Options for rebuilds?

I have a couple 3SX non MHI turbos. They have a small amount of shaft play and I'd love to rebuild them. I contacted 3SX last year but wasn't able to pin anyone down about a solution and thus never sent them back. They only had 5k miles on them. Maybe 3SX doesn't have a rebuild shop for the turbos so they really didn't know what to do with them.

In any case I've been unable to find a kit that has the correct rebuild parts. From what I've been told they are non standard and don't take all the MHI parts. Even if I could piece together a kit, I'm not sure how to rebuild one. I did find this info... accurate?

I'd love to have a set of backup turbos. Either rebuilding these or finding a cheap non MHI option. Reliable sellers and turbos avail in the 16g? I really would want something that's going to last longer than 10k.

Can you send me some pics Kx1984? Might be a good option.

Emilie@gzp - any difference on the turbos you offer compared to 3SX or any other shop. Basically are all the turbos from the same source?

I really couldn't say. but that would be my best guess, just distributed through different importers/suppliers, etc.

Have you guys had good feedback on those turbos? Think they would last a while?

Btw, on a side note your shop webpage is looking good.

We've run them on a few cars, not a hell of a lot of miles though. So far, so good.
